UPDATE: CLAMP Announces New Cardcaptor Sakura Manga

Update On Cardcaptor Sakura Sequel

The June issue of Kodansha’s Nakayoshi magazine is announcing on Saturday that the members of the creative team CLAMP are launching the new Cardcaptor Sakura sequel manga series in the magazine’s July issue on June 3. The manga will take place after titular character Sakura graduates from Tomoeda Elementary School, in her first year of junior high school. Sakura sees a mysterious dream, and an incident takes place.

I love anniversaries in franchise as it always means there are some great gifts in store for fans. Already being happy about the new Digimon series, I just found this announcement on Animenewsnetwork: for the 20th anniversary of popular shojo-manga series Cardcaptor Sakura CLAMP has decided to publish a new manga. It is unclear if it’s going to be a series or not, but at least fans have something to be looking for. Even though I liked reading Cardcaptor Sakura back in the days, I’d actually prefer CLAMP to finally finish the X series!! Come on! We’re still stuck at volume 18 from expected 21 for ten bloody years! Gosh, waiting drives me crazy. I’m happy for Cardcaptor Sakura fans, but as a X fan, I just wished CLAMP would finish an old project rather than making up new ones.
